Fia Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Fia Restaurant, nestled quietly within the intimate walls of The Burgess hotel, feels like uncovering a cherished secret in the heart of Buckhead. The pace here invites a gentle slowing down, where warm lighting and thoughtfully arranged spaces foster a sense of calm and connection. It’s the kind of place where conversations flow easily over carefully curated plates, and the hum of friendly chatter blends effortlessly with soft, trending music—just enough to fill the background without overpowering the moment.
The atmosphere at Fia leans into an unspoken balance of elegance and ease. It’s refined, yet without stiffness; inviting, yet quietly sophisticated. You find yourself drawn to linger, appreciating the subtle details—the rustic textures, the wood-fired aromas, and the graceful attention from a team that knows how to be both present and unobtrusive.
Here, each dish arrives as a chapter of a thoughtfully told story rather than a simple item to check off a menu. Charred octopus carries the gentle smokiness of a wood fire balanced by fresh, vibrant notes, while the crispy Brussels sprouts offer a satisfying crunch punctuated by a hint of unexpected sweetness. The experience extends to shareable plates that bring both comfort and surprise—rich slow-cooked short ribs sitting beside bright, charred watermelon salad, or silky gnocchi served with a house-made wood-fired hummus that invites you to savor slowly. Desserts, whether familiar or inventive, round out the meal with just the right touch of indulgence, leaving an impression that lingers quietly after the last bite.
Fia’s strength lies beyond its dishes. It’s in the way the staff moves through the room—poised and attentive without ever intruding—and in the subtle rhythms that encourage you to savor not only the food but the human moments around the table. For those who’ve found this spot, it quickly becomes less about dining out and more about coming home to a place that quietly celebrates the joy of good company, thoughtful food, and a pace that invites you to breathe and belong.

Truly remarkable dining experience. The center cut filet was the best steak we’ve ever tasted. The gnocchi, ciabatta, and tomahawk pork chop were to die for. My ONLY gripe is that the chocolate torte is from Alons rather than made in house but was not advertised as such. Not that it was not great, as it was, but I would have avoided since I can go to Alons anytime and get it for half the price. That being said, it was one of my few best dining experiences in the city.

Food is delicious and the service is spectacular!! Best pork belly I’ve ever had and the heirloom grits just melt in your mouth! Calm vibes and music is trendy but not too loud which is fabulous when you want to talk to a friend across the table. Highly recommend!

Worth the Wait. There's a wait for every part, but it is worth it. Let me explain... The food is absolutely amazing. Chef has curated and executed an amazing menu. The atmosphere is top notch. The food..OMG. It was one of the best culinary experiences I've had in Atlanta and worth the price. Presentation, quantity, and quality- 20 out of 10. EVERY ITEM was amazing, from appetizer to entree, and I mean that. You cannot go wrong. Now, the one major issue.... We dined for a special occasion on a Friday night. Strangely, the restaurant ran a short staff from the valet to the bartender to the wait staff to the kitchen. The result was that there was about a 20 minute wait for drinks after ordered. The appetizers came shortly shortly thereafter. It took another 30 to 40 minutes for the entrees to arrive. In all, it took about an hour from order to fork in mouth with the entrees. Snack before you go because, based on our experience, it will take a while. That being said, the food is absolutely worth the wait. I just wish the wait was not long.

Shame on us for be long time residents of Buckhead and missing this hidden gem! Fia located in the quaint boutique hotel The Burgess is Buckhead’s secret powerhouse of a restaurant! The food by far is the most delicious we’ve experienced in and outside of Georgia. For starters, the lobster risotto transports you, the homemade gnocchi makes you rethink every version of gnocchi you’ve ever experienced, the Moroccan chicken and rice are seasoned and prepared to perfection. And then there is the service… MELINDA our server is phenomenal! She is personable , knowledgeable and shows genuine interest in your experience. She shared a bit of the history of the hotel which made us fall in love with this place even more so. The chef/owner greeted us which was such a wonderful treat. However, what sealed the deal was to see this hotelier on the floors engaging with guests working alongside his staff! Every touch point of our return to the Fia exceeded expectations and we will definitely be back! Kudos to Fia and their team! You have won us over and we’ll bee back soon!

Everything was super delicious and the vibe was very nice while still allowing for a bit of a casual dress. The cococut walnut old fashioned is yummy and smooth. For apps, we got the grilled octopus and the spicy tuna tartar. Very good. For our mains we got the tomahawk pork chop and bone in short rib. Also, fantastic. The pork chop was sweet but not overly. The short ribs were melt in your mouth. The only thing lacking which did dock some stars was the "sharable" asparagus. It was like 5 thin sticks. Not really a sharable for the price if you ask me. Maybe we should have just got the asparagus appetizer that everyone is raving about. I suspect it would be the same amount of asparagus but with egg and ham also, at a better price point. Over all, definitely worth the dine. You should try for yourself. We were not disappointed. Valet parking here as part of a hotel, but there's parking available nearby with a short walk.

I'm going to do this in 2 parts: 1. JT was our server and he was top tier! From the minute I sat down he was attentive and knowledgeable about their menu. He provided solid recommendations and wasn't overbearing. 2. The short rib! I know I know I know...every other review says the same thing, BUT HEY!! If it's good its good! Want to know HOW good?!?! When I warmed it up at home it got BETTER!! A recommendation: have someone order the rib so you can at least try it but not be committed to it lol. Oh!! The cocktails are delicious!

Came here hoping to get last minute reservation but the tables were full. We opted for the bar. I started with the butter pecan old fashioned which was delicious. For an appetizer we had we shrimp. For entree I had the Duck special and my friend had the burger. I'd come back again for everything. Really good food and great atmosphere.
